Job Description

A Deputy Nursing Home Manager is required near Cheltenham for a beautiful care home which has a good reputation and are part of a well established care group.

The Deputy must be a Registered Nurse and have experience of working in a care home setting.

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000

The main responsibilities of the Deputy Nursing Home Manager are:

  • Working closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times
  • Monitoring and updating Care Plans to ensure that Person Centred care is at the forefront of your team
  • Medication audits
  • Managing an effective staffing rota
  • Completing CQC notifications, DoLS applications and report safeguarding matters
  • Assessing residents prior to admission to the home
  • Ensuring clinical standards are maintained
  • Setting up staff training
  • Provide supervision for Clinical and Care staff on a regular basis


Skills, qualifications and experience required for this Deputy Nursing Home Manager position:

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN / RMN)
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Good communication skills - verbally and written
  • Solid background within elderly care
